Richard has performed as solo pianist in the Hollywood Bowl, the Paris Opera Comique, on the BBC and the National Radio of France, Ireland and Norway, as well as on Voice of America. He has recorded for Columbia Masterworks and accompanied Broadway stars from Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Cats, Aida, Show Boat (Lincoln Center Revival), Miss Saigon, Gypsy, Les Miserables, and The Producers, among others, and with stars from the San Francisco Opera.
Many a lively evening has been spent with Evans at the piano and a happy chorus of participants singing-along to standards of many genres!
